Tomorrow will be February 14th (or as for those of us on the forward side of time, you’re already there), so (let the drums roll) Happy Valentines Day!
And like years past, let love be in the air; let the cupids fly; let the rings be exchanged and roses bear more significance as they accompany gifts and sweet romance. For some, this will be the time to “prove” love. Hearts will beat faster and blood will pump more forcefully than normal. This thing called “love” will bear many definitions.
“And as touching the dead, that they rise: have ye not read in the book of Moses, how in the bush God spake unto him, saying, I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? He is not the God of the dead, but the God of the living: ye therefore do greatly err.” -Mark 12:26-27
As we observe this sacred season of the arrival of Salvation to the earth through the birth of our Savior Jesus Christ; a season of hope, love, compassion, care and togetherness. It’s very important that we stand out among the crowd with a unique understanding which will influence the way we do our celebration.
In this season, may we walk worthy as custodians of God’s very trust like Mary through the delivery of the Holy Child, Jesus Christ; growing stronger in our walk, faith, love and unreserved obedience to the faith in Him. Merry Christmas, Dear Reader, and a better New Year!
Sincerely my heart aches from the absence and space I have created between you and me though unintended. Today you showed me how empty I am without you. As I walked home alone, I longed for the days you and I shared, those moments when you directed every step I made even before I set foot to the unknown, those moments when everything concerning me was predestined. You knew my name while I was still an embryo; even before my ears formed I heard you say these words to me: “May My WISDOM and EXCELLENT SPIRIT LIVE in EVERY part of YOU” and so you named me WESLEY.
