Paid by His Pleasure and Desire (God’s way of blessing those who serve Him) -James G.

Hebrews 6:10
[10]For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.

God watches out to reward those who serve Him with diligence. His ultimate desire is to give to each person who serves Him “…whatsoever is right…”.
“Whatsoever is right” means “whatever I, your Employer, deem fit to pay you”. This means that a person can so work for God that he/she will be paid beyond their expectation. And likewise, a person can work so hard and yet for so little or for nothing.

But, does this means God is unjust? God forbid. The target of His work is His satisfaction. If this isn’t met, nothing comes out of it no matter how hard the labourer tried. And when work is done with love, the best can be given and God can be pleased. And when God is pleased, He grace is released.

Matthew 20:4,7
[4]And said unto them; Go ye also into the vineyard, and whatsoever is right I will give you. And they went their way.[7]They say unto him, Because no man hath hired us. He saith unto them, Go ye also into the vineyard; and whatsoever is right, that shall ye receive.

Again, I’ll say this. “Whatsoever is right” means “whatever I, your Employer, deem fit to pay you”. This means that a person can so work for God that he/she will be paid beyond their expectations.

God’s blessings/reward isn’t based on when our work is counted but on how He deems us worthy of His payment. This is a product of grace and favor not necessarily of labour. First hour, third, sixth or eleventh. It all makes no difference before the One with whom we have to do. What counts with Him is the satisfaction He derives and the favor we win in Him. So we don’t define God’s reward by our own terms of payment, but by our position of appeal on His grace. We define Him by His justice and His integrity and serve Him with our all knowing this:
Hebrews 11:6
[6]… that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

And when God wants/decides to pay a man, He consults no other, neither is He answerable to anyone about it. He is Almighty and unquestionable, just and righteous in His counsel. Whether man is irritated about God’s reward/grace on you doesn’t bother Him and they can do absolutely nothing about it. He gives you whatever He deems fit. It is His blessings and He does with it as He wills. If God loves, graces or blesses you, it’s not your fault. It’s all on Him. He answers on your behalf anyone who challenges the blessings you “earn” by His favor and grace. What a great Father, God, Employer.

Matthew 20:8-15
[8]So when even was come, the lord of the vineyard saith unto his steward, Call the labourers, and give them their hire, beginning from the last unto the first.[9]And when they came that were hired about the eleventh hour, they received every man a penny.[10]But when the first came, they supposed that they should have received more; and they likewise received every man a penny.[11]And when they had received it, they murmured against the goodman of the house,[12]Saying, These last have wrought but one hour, and thou hast made them equal unto us, which have borne the burden and heat of the day.[13]But he answered one of them, and said, Friend, I do thee no wrong: didst not thou agree with me for a penny?[14]Take that thine is, and go thy way: I will give unto this last, even as unto thee.[15]Is it not lawful for me to do what I will with mine own? Is thine eye evil, because I am good?

You can decide that from here on out, you’ll offer up your living and service to God with respect to His rewarding grace and not by your activity or labour alone. There is a place for labour but there is a place for favor. Let God see into your heart and recognize a man who wants to see Him satisfied and His desire met. That is the heart that captures His interest, His grace and His favor.

God pays, dear Christian. He Pays on time and He pays well. Serve Him with your heart without bias or reserve or eye service. Grace be multiplied unto you.

A Prayer
Father, in the name of Jesus, give me the grace and heart to serve you pleasantly and with love in such a way that will provoke Your unusual favor for unexpected results in my life. Amen.
