Title: THE SPIRIT IN YOU
Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
1 John 4:4 (KJV)
We see from the scriptures that we have been given a Spirit as children of God. Being born again brought us the indwelling of the Spirit of God Himself. This “new” Spirit in us isn’t of fear, weakness or foolishness. Rather, He is a Spirit of power, and of love and of a sound mind. This means, there is no weakness in me because I carry the Spirit of power. There is no hate or bitterness in me because I carry the Spirit of love. There is no foolishness or lack of ideas in me because I have the Spirit of a sound mind. Glory!
Today again, God re-echoes something for us. You are of God. What a relief to know that I belong to the Creator of the universe, like, personally. I don’t care what or how life has been to me thus far. God says, I have a part in Him in Christ Jesus. This is a very big deal. Anyone who isn’t in Christ Jesus has no place in God no matter what they have here. But thank God that we who are in Him, we do. You are of God and therefore He is in you. What a status!
But it doesn’t end there. Oh no, it doesn’t! He goes on to say that because you are now in Him, He also lives in you and therefore, you cannot lose in life any longer. In other words, the whole game has shifted to your advantage. What is in the world? Satan, sin, sickness, failure, quickness and all the likes. But you are not under their power anymore. You’ve gone beyond their reach. You’re in another level now!
Why won’t you fear or fail? Because you carry the Ultimate Winner in you, hence, you are a winner yourself. Why won’t that enchantment by that dark force work on you or around you? Because you carry the One to whom all authorities MUST bow – the One who defeated and conquered all powers once and for all with the Blood of His Cross – Jesus Christ, the Lord.
Wow! We are so blessed. Think of super intelligence. You’ve got it in you. Think of supernatural healing and health. You’ve got it in you. The greater One lives in you. Think of how you will walk today when you understand like Elisha that the One on your side is greater than the ones against you. Imagine how you’ll feel when you just accept and believe that the you are not a nobody. Give God glory and declare this over yourself. Faith is your ability to accept this as God’s word and operate it with the assurance of His integrity. Exercise yourself in His Word now.
So, you can go out today and say, the Greater One lives in me. I can’t fail. I am unstoppable. I am unbeatable. Setbacks don’t define me. Failures don’t define me. Disappointments can’t keep me down/back. I am making progress. I can’t die. I can’t fail. I am success personified. I am Heaven personified. I am righteousness personified. I am holiness personified. I am health personified. I am prosperity personified. I am all that God says I am because the greater One lives in me.
