You never know how far you can go sometimes until you’re in some situations. You never know how reckless you can be until you are hit by some pressures and frustrations.

Job 22:29
When men are cast down, then thou shalt say, There is lifting up; and he shall save the humble person.”

I once saw a video clip of a young man who committed suicide. It was a form of accidental capture on phone and the scene is too gruesome to go into details. But, after seeing that clip, I began to ponder, “Why would anyone want to take their own life?”

You may be sitting right there and be like, “I can’t go that far. No matter what I face, I get go that far”. But, do you really know? How much pressure can you take before you break? How much frustration can you dissolve?
You never know how far you can go sometimes until you’re in some situations. You never know how reckless you can be until you are hit by some pressures and frustrations.

Where is God in all this? He is where He is. He is the same yesterday, today and forever. He never leaves. He isn’t blind, deaf or weak. He is very much touched by the feelings of our infirmities. As the economy is going up and down, He is touched with the feelings of our infirmity. As the family union and oneness is being rocked and being threatened, He is still very much touched by our pains. As disappointments greet you at every turn, He is touched by your feelings. As you’re shut out and misunderstood, misrepresented and left on your own simply because you do not match their statistics, He is touched by your pains. Whatever it is that you’re going through, He is not only aware, He feels your need, dear child of God.

When you don’t know God’s place in your situation, you’re bound to get overwhelmed by the waves of pressure and frustrations. There is a great rise in the amount of suicide being committed by people in their prime of life in this generation. Why is that? The answer stems from the fact that the times are hard, expectations are high, needs are much and nothing seems to be working. Where there was once hope, now there is only despair. Where there was once faith and dream, now there is only fear and the pursuit to survive. Where there was once laughter and glee, now there is only memories and gloom. People misunderstanding others and crucifying them at every opportunity they get. Trust has lost it’s value. Truth seems rare. Secrecy has become solace. People no longer have any reason to live anymore. There, they take the bait of Satan to take their own life.

There is constant flow of spiritual force all around us. These are information that stirs effect within our beings. Whatever steadily flows into us starts to form something in us. What it forms will start influencing our personalities. And once they take a hold of us, they either stop us from living or fire us up to keep fighting for life. Have you ever had to fight to stay alive before? Have you ever been driven by a yearning within you?

There is a fuel that I will show you today. This fuel will keep you going even when you can’t find any reason around you to. It is called “The Revealed Word of God”. Why did I have to say the revealed word of God? You see, God’s word is His tool for framing things and setting order, authority and justice. The Bible says everything stays in their place, they are upheld by the word of His power. There is power in His word. The Word is older that anything and everything. The Word is stronger than everything. The Word created all things. The Word is sharper and more alive than any thing.

But, not every Word will work for you, only the Word sent to you (take note of the word ‘sent’). When God wants to change situations, He gives a Word. In that Word, there is all the power you need. A continuous connection to the flow of this Word into you has a way of keeping you on fire and going on when you have no reason to. David said He hid the word in His heart. He also said the Word is his lamp and his light. Do you remember what the Israelites did to themselves when they allowed an evil report? They used their own mouth to kill themselves. But, those who spoke well ended well.

In order to maintain fuel for everyday living, you must stay close to the fire. Your place of fellowship in God’s presence has a way of generating heat within you and pushing you to go on. David says in His light we also see light. In other words, it is through God’s revelation that we can see better. It’s in His light that we can see past the shadows and pains and griefs and depressions and frustrations. The more we look, the more we are changed. The more we look, the more energy we can generate.

You need this fire today. You need this joy which only God’s word and presence can give today. You need your hope revived. Why not pray with me today.

Father, in the name of Jesus, give me the grace to stay connected to the flow of your Word for my daily living.

Father, I ask that you will send me the Word for my situation, the secret to my motivation and open my eyes/ears to see/hear.

I declare that I am standing on the Rock. I shall not fall. I shall not fail. I am full of life and joy. My joy, no man can/shall take. I will win. I will reign everyday. I open up myself to good reports. I shut my ears/eyes against the negative and evil information. I believe the best. I believe in the days God gives me. This is the day the Lord has made, I rejoice and stay glad in it. I don’t give up.

Glory to God!
