Title: MOOD-SWINGING OR GOD-SWINGING
Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God.
Psalms 42:11
[According to 11th-16th Century English dictionary definitions, “health” may mean cure or remedy]. So, according to the above scripture, I can say, “I shall yet praise Him who is the health, cure, remedy, solution of my countenance, and my God.”
Can you say this? God is the cure of my countenance. Wow! God is and should be the health, liveliness, brightness of the countenance of His children. He is and should be the reason you have a healthy personality!
Circumstances have a way of influencing our emotions and behavior switches. Some people think like if you aren’t carrying a weak look and dropping shoulders, no one will know something is wrong with you. Another believes that until he squeezes his face, people will not take him serious and know he is a serious person. Some believers can just go on and off whenever their minds tell them to. They’re just like that. But, that’s not how it should be. We have a Spirit of joy in us. He leads us in triumphant procession. When? Always! How? By spreading joy in our hearts all the time. Glory to God!
Hallelujah! My soul shall not be cast down nor disquieted within me! No way! Because I have a strong cure for every down casting, a powerful remedy for all disquieting, the Lord my God. A dearly beloved brother once shared this text with me: “Jesus Christ is a burden lifter. He says to us; come if your laden is heavy and I will give you rest. Beloved, true rest can only be found in Christ Jesus, rely on Him.”

“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”
For when I acknowledge Jesus in this way, then:
Psalms 42:8
“Yet the LORD will command his loving-kindness in the daytime, and in the night his song shall be with me, and my prayer unto the God of my life.”
Okay, so how then do I enter and be led forth into this experience of the Lord’s strength and higher countenance in my life?
1. Submit myself to be judged and vindicated by the Lord (who is God, Lawgiver, Judge and Advocate).
For some people, their conscience will not allow them to be joyful. They always walking around with their head hanging over one guilty feeling or the other.
But turning to Him in my hours of weakness and setbacks, confrontations and deformities is a freeing thing to do. He convicts, leads me to repentance and then justifies me. Someone once rightly says Justify sounds like “Just-as-if-I’ve never sinned before.”
Turning to Him as the Pillar that holds my life together and without whom I’ll fall apart is the key to my freedom to rejoice. When I allow God become my vindicator, I can experience freedom on the inside. John 8 tells us, He who the Son sets free is free indeed. He is the One who justifies.

Judge me, O God, and plead my cause against an ungodly nation: O deliver me from the deceitful and unjust man
Psalms 43:1
2. Seek and open up to His Light and Truth (the operation of the Spirit on His Word) and let it be your lead into this healthiness, peace and rejoicing reserved within His tabernacle.
O send out thy light and thy truth: let them lead me; let them bring me unto thy holy hill, and to thy tabernacles
Psalms 43:3
When light comes, a division must occur. Light sets the difference between wrong and right. Once light invades a man’s life, he can clearly see and he can make distinctions between what is light and what is darkness.

Believe me, once you receive light into what and where you are now in Christ, you’ll never again allow one person or one mood-swing to make you not rejoice. Inside of you something will always be bubbling. There’ll always be reason to be active and laugh. You’ve got to laugh when you discover you’re seated with Jesus in place of dominion and authority. You’ll be bubbly when you know you’re no longer under condemnation but under grace and peace, and that you’ve be blessed forever in Jesus Christ. The list goes on.
Thou in thy mercy hast led forth the people which thou hast redeemed: thou hast guided them in thy strength unto thy holy habitation
Exodus 15:13
So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it. For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands
Isaiah 55:11-12

So, now, you’ve seen it. It’s in you. You don’t swing by emotional moods but by the Spirit of joy in you. You have the God-swing. And this swing is the joy swing. It is the lovely swing. It is the bold swing. You’re never going to let people-talk, emotions, feelings, or any other thing to determine your state anymore from today, in Jesus name.
I declare you’re full of joyful expression all the time and spreading it to others!
