Title: REMEMBER WHOSE CHILD YOU ARE?
Speak unto all the congregation of the children of Israel, and say unto them, Ye shall be holy: for I the LORD your God am holy
Leviticus 19:2
While going through the Book of Leviticus 19 and 20, something God said kept pulling at my attention and it was this statement : “… I am the LORD your GOD…“ This might not make so much sense to you but it is my prayer that you can see what I found out today and walk in it. One of the purposes of WTTW DEVOTIONAL is to “bind” us to God through fellowship with Him via His Word. Approach every message with that in mind.
“I AM THE LORD YOUR GOD”. If you go through this book of the Law, you’d find a lot of commandments listed there. And you know God is serious about what He says and He wants us to take His instructions serious. The thing I noticed about God’s instructions is the heart behind them. You see, as I read each line, I could actually see a Father talking to His children like this, “Don’t do this, don’t do that. Do this like this. Do that like that. I am your Father, we are family. You’re my seed and this is how we do.” Do you get it?

No man of renown (no parent for that matter, in their right senses) will ever find pleasure to meet their child in a drug den. No person who counts himself as something would want their child representing them any less.
Remember the advice parents give their children especially when they’re stepping out into life, “… remember whose child you are… remember where you’re coming from and make us proud”? These statements priceless.
But, they are exactly what God was also showing humanity through the Law. If truly I am your Father, this is the way to walk. Children of mine walk like this, talk like this, act like this. You’re my child. You’ve got my DNA running inside of you. You’ve got what it takes to stand out, I am your Father. You’re my child, go show the world that.
Glory to God!
Can you understand this now?
Turn ye not unto idols, nor make to yourselves molten gods: I am the LORD your God
Leviticus 19:4
Thou shalt not curse the deaf, nor put a stumblingblock before the blind, but shalt fear thy God: I am the LORD
Leviticus 19:14
Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself: I am the LORD.
Leviticus 19:18
Regard not them that have familiar spirits, neither seek after wizards, to be defiled by them: I am the LORD your God
Leviticus 19:31
But the stranger that dwelleth with you shall be unto you as one born among you, and thou shalt love him as thyself; for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt: I am the LORD your God
Leviticus 19:34
Sanctify yourselves therefore, and be ye holy: for I am the LORD your God
Leviticus 20:7

We are standing out today because the LORD is our God. We are different. Our Father is different. We are holy because our Father is holy. We forgive sins, because our Father does too. We walk in power because our Father does too. We are givers because our Father is too. We don’t give up, give in or give out, because our Father doesn’t give up too. We are strong people because our Father is. We are everything we are because our Father is too.
Glory!
Remember whose child you are and whose God you serve, and go out with that consciousness today!
