Title: POSITIONED TO CONNECT -3
For all those things hath mine hand made, and all those things have been, saith the LORD: but to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembleth at my word
Isaiah 66:2
We have been looking at some connections we can have by the power of God’s presence, the manifestation of Jesus in our situation. Jesus being revealed upon your issue in a very practical way comes like light in a very dark night. It extinguishes the darkness. And by calling upon the Lord and having a heart for His revelation to you, you can position yourself to experience the blessing of it.
But, today I show you another thing that can position you and me in a good place to connect to God’s manifestation in our lives (His revealed presence): BROKENNESS.
As we walk through God’s word, we can find from men who actually did encounter or draw from God’s presence that they were men who admitted their need of Him and their nothingness by themselves. – Luke 5:8, 10; Ps. 139:23-24; 138:6; Isa. 66:2; James 4:6; 1Pet. 5:5-6
One thing that can stand against our connecting to the practical experience of the Lord in our lives in a more unique way is our level of brokenness. An unbroken heart believes it can do by himself and has no sincere dependence upon the Lord his God. God wants to know our pursuit of Him is not to prove anything or satisfy our own selfish ambitions. Rather, we are standing where we are because we are His. An unbroken heart makes no room for God’s interference. But a sold-out heart is open to both correction and interruption. God wants to know you’re sold-out to Him in order to have you in a place where you dispense great glory and manifestation of grace.
God is not looking to having a contest with us over His will for our lives. He needs sold-out hearts and people who are willing to surrender to Him.
It’s an hour for us to reorganize our hearts and minds. Where is the struggle still coming from? Will the clay tell the potter how it wants to be formed? Our Father knows best and has our good at heart. Ask for His hands to break you completely as a Master potter that He is.
Declare: I’m not afraid of missing it with God. I’m submissive to the Lord. My heart is ever before Him. He is always at work in my heart. I depend upon the Lord. Therefore I will not lack grace nor walk in victory. I enjoy my relationship with God because I let Him have free course in my life. God is ahead of me always. Glory to God. I do not miss my way. I’m positioned in humility and brokenness. I admit my need of the Lord and my need of Grace. I’ll walk in new Grace’s daily in the name of Jesus.
