DAY 54 OF 365: WALKING THROUGH THE WORD DEVOTIONAL

No one entrusts responsibilities to children

Title: INVEST IN SOMETHING THAT WILL LAST FOREVER (2)

Now I say, That the heir, as long as he is a child, differeth nothing from a servant, though he be lord of all; But is under tutors and governors until the time appointed of the father.

Gal. 4:1-2

You realize that this is very much the truth of the matter. No one entrusts responsibilities to children. As long as the appointed remains a baby, their appointment is put on hold until he matures. The Bible states that this person will be³ under certain elements. Where he or she by right should be above, they’re left under. Why, because they are still immature. Dear child of God, let us go on into maturity.

How do you invest in yourself?
First, I’ll tell you that you recognize with all humility that you have a responsibility to your spirit to develop it. This helps you and I to maintain a teachable spirit.

Secondly, devote time to studying the Bible (the Word of God) daily. Don’t just read it, study it.

Thirdly, open up to other sound Christian literature and tapes by men and women of God. Reduce the time you give to other things that entertain your flesh and increase the time you give to things that tell you the truth.

Fourthly, give yourself to prayers, especially praying in the Holy Ghost (in tongues) for a good deal of time daily.

This is quite short, but consistently maintaining it is a good investment into your spirit man on the inside. Set your mind on things above. Build up yourself on your most holy faith. You’re on your way to result oriented living. You’re on your way to fruitfulness as a child of God.
