Title: SANCTIFIED, DECLARED HOLY UNTO GOD
And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.
1Cor. 6:11
Every time you have the opportunity to look into God’s word, don’t just jump in. No, first of all ask God to help you and give you insight and access the Word with open heart. Most times, translations can help but I have learnt that the greatest or best translation of the Bible is that one which leaves the pages of the Book and enters into your spirit with effective power. That’s the living Word, it is effective and powerful, sharper than any two edged sword (Heb. 4:12) and it is the best translation.
Learn to go in like a person who needs it desperately, that way you will be expectant of the Word and whatever the Word carries will enter you.
Today’s title is something many believers struggle to come to terms with, and most of us even end up saying it’s impossible to operate because of how difficult it is for them to “enter”. They don’t know they are already in. They don’t know they already have it. Imagine fighting to get what you already have. How does that sound?
I want to believe that a careful understanding of this Divine reality will help us beat the doctrines and dogma of men that create a stumbling block on the King’s Highway.

The subject of holiness unto the Lord is something we didn’t work for to get but it’s something that requires us to remain in or else the enemy will displace us in error.
How did We Become Holy?
By sanctification (dedication unto God). When Jesus died, His blood was used to wash away all sins and appeal to the infinite mercies of God. His blood satisfied God’s justice and delivered us from the wrath that will come upon sinful man. But that was not where it ended. Jesus went further, as our own High Priest, and presented us to God through the Blood by presenting Himself on our behalf (like the high priests of old would shed blood of animals, sprinkle them on the people and then go in alone into the Holy of Holies to present himself to God on their behalf). With every blood that touched you and I, we became sanctified vessels and no longer just anyone.
By the gift of righteousness, we stand before God but by holiness we remain before Him because He is a holy God. Righteousness (which is a right standing we have before God now without fear or sin-consciousness through our faith in what Jesus has done) is not what we earned but was a gift we were given. (Rom. 5:17)
No man is qualified to stand before God without being condemned by the Holiness and justice of God. But because Jesus took them upon Himself for us, He gave us access (Rom. 5:1-2). Hence, Righteousness is now our position in Christ Jesus. No one is or can be righteous without Christ Jesus.
But Holiness on the other hand, being also a gift, is the reality of our standing (righteousness) in Christ: The moment we come before God through Jesus Christ, He dedicated us to the Father by His blood and from that day we no longer belong to ourselves but the Father. Don’t forget this: we are holy because we have been dedicated to God who is holiness personified.
So righteousness is my position and holiness is my conduct and identity. Holiness is not my clothes, nor just my language, nor just my rule. It is my status, my identity, my heart and my attitude, because I understand that I am dedicated to the Sovereign God. Because of this, I know I’m not going to be or do or dress or talk like everyone else but as God pleases. Now I am His vessel and I serve only one purpose, His. – Heb. 12:14, 2Cor. 7:1, 1Thess. 4:7, 1Cor. 6:19-20, Heb. 8 and 9 (Heb. 2-13 covers this all through).

So, if you you’re in Christ, accept the complete work, He made you holy and declared you God’s property. You were bought with a price, His blood. Don’t struggle any more. Rather start seeing yourself as someone who has been marked by God as His possession.
Is this a license to sin?
In the voice of Rom. 6, I say NO! It is not a license to sin, rather it is the enablement to live right where others are struggling to live right.
Holiness is not what you will be but who you already are in Jesus Christ. Stand in your position, see yourself strong, pure and sanctified by God through Jesus Christ.
As you meditate on this reality, it becomes more real to you and when it becomes more real to you, you can walk in it.
Father, thank you for the blood of Jesus that was shed for my sanctification. I rejoice because in Jesus I’m holy, I’m pure and I’m righteous before you. My body belongs to you. My mind is yours and all I am is yours. Today I accept that I’ve bee bought with a price. I’m not a nobody. I glorify God in my body and in my soul and in my spirit because I belong to God. I am holy because I belong to God. I walk in Holiness. I talk holiness. I think holiness. I connect with holiness everyday and everywhere I go. In the name of Jesus, sin and sinfulness will not reign in me.
Hallelujah!
