DAY 71 OF 365: WALKING THROUGH THE WORD DEVOTIONAL

If He says He can and He does, then who better to give our lives over to?

Title: UNTO HIM WHO IS ABLE TO KEEP YOU FROM FALLING AWAY

Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,

Jude 1:24

I do not mean to scare us whatsoever but to rather encourage and keep us in check as we continue to walk with our faithful Father God. But, I do hope you’re aware that we have entered the days of the great “falling away”? The days of the “love of many waxing cold”? The days of the manifestations of false prophets in the Church like has never been seen in history? We are in the days of great slumber by both the “wise virgins and the foolish virgins”. Yes, we are in those days the scriptures talked about.
(Dan. 11:32, 2Thess. 2:3, Matt. 24:12, 25:1-13, 7:15, 2Tim. 4:1-4)

In these days, darkness, indeed gross darkness spreads across the earth, corrupting, destroying and displacing everything in its path. The burden of Christianity seems to get heavier and many are asking questions, doubting the authenticity of God and under fierce pressure mounted by experiences, men, needs, government, relationships and pains of life among other things. There is outcry for deliverance, a deep groaning for the consummation of our eternal experience.

But pain and persecution isn’t the only thing the believer deals with in these times we live in. What about the massive falling away of saints back into the world, the big era of compromise because of selfishness and ambition, the growing laxity to spiritual interests and the big mark of ignorance of God that makes many fall for anything? All these coupled with persecution, fear, instability, carnality left unchecked, setbacks, quenching fire can so affect a man to eventually deny the faith or step out a bit or take a nap.

But there is one WHO IS ABLE TO KEEP YOU FROM FALLING. I mean, you see that falling away, waxing cold love, drying oil in the lamps and other terms of falling the Bible talked about. God our Father is the One able to keep what has been entrusted into His hands no matter the storms surrounding or trying to mess it up. – Jude 1:24-25, 2Tim. 1:12

Brethren, this is not a time to be running here or there, or else we will be blown along with everyone else. Rather, this is a time to look up. Are you expecting Him, then look up. As you’re expecting Him, do what His words say, entrust your soul to Him, kill fear and doubt, and pick up faith. Yes, don’t stop hanging upon and living by what God’s what says (what you believe it). Jesus will be coming for something in His saints when He returns, faith. Luke 18:8, Jesus said, “I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?” The question there is clear what He expects to see when He returns, faith.

Beloved, don’t give up on this faith of faith. Faithful is He who has promised. He also will do it. He who will come will come. Keep striving. Live each day by faith in Him WHO IS ABLE TO KEEP YOU FROM FALLING. Keep your eyes always on Him WHO IS ABLE TO KEEP YOU FROM FALLING. Don’t stop calling upon the name of the One WHO IS ABLE TO KEEP YOU FROM FALLING.

If He says He can and He does, then who better to give our lives over to?

Lift up your hands today and say Lord I entrust my life, eternal destiny, my faith and spirit into Your hands. You’re able to keep, so keep me, Father, from every falling away of my days and let me be found still standing when the Master comes. I find strength today in the Spirit of your presence and promise. I draw my strength from your faithfulness and the lively hope of your faithful promise in Jude 1:24-25. I will not fall away and I’ll not fail at the end, in Jesus name I pray, amen.
