Title: TO HIM WHO IS ABLE TO KEEP YOU FROM FALLING
Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, And to present you faultless Before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy
Jude 1:24
In a dark and dangerous generation such as we’re in right now, never has there been so much falling away such as we’re having now. People turning from the faith or even turning the faith itself into something else. It daily becomes a challenge being a Christian. It is increasingly becoming a great test of our faith to survive each passing day with all the pressures that surround. Indeed, “the just shall live by his faith… “ of Hebrews 10:38 is the ideal reference for this. We are at that age where living right each day, pleasing God and remaining a saint won’t stand upon the basis of our resolve, but rather upon the basis of our faith on Him who is able to keep us from falling.

This text lets us realize that “falling” is a possible thing. The best of us can fall just like the least of us. No one is beyond this reach of falling. Apostle Paul warns those who think that they are to be careful or else they’ll find themselves on the ground. – 1Cor. 10:12. So, as you sustain your position of faith daily and strive to get better and better, or as you continue to try again and again to grow and maintain your stand in the faith consistently, please realize that, “it is not by power, nor by might, but by my Spirit, says the LORD”- Zech. 4:6
It is all by the Lord. As we travel down life’s path, one way to avoid stumbling is to make up our hearts to always trust the Lord to keep us. Revelation 3:10, “Because you have kept My command to persevere, I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth.” Also, II Timothy 1:12, “For this reason I also suffer these things; nevertheless I am not ashamed, for I know whom I have believed and am persuaded that He is able to keep what I have committed to Him until that Day.”

These two scriptures tell us that if you want to finish well, then you’ll have to learn to commit your ways, thoughts, journey of life to Him who is able to keep it. I like how they described Him. They described Him as the ONE WHO IS ABLE TO KEEP. He is not just the One who keeps it but the only One with the ability to keep it. Your Christianity is safe if it’s in God’s hands. Your strength is safe if it’s in God’s hands. And so the Bible tells you what to do with what you want to preserve, commit them into His hands.
How do you commit yourself to the Lord to have Him keep you from falling?
- Keep His word (obedience to His instructions, Holiness, the fear of the Lord that affects your conduct and lifestyle) according to Rev. 3:10. Through our choice to live according to His system, we are committing ourselves to Him.
- Believe in His ability to keep you. Through this faith, you’re able to stay with Him and, hence, easily please Him as stated above. Heb. 6:10. This faith will make you pray yourself into the wisdom and strength required for overcoming a very tempting situation to fall, etc. believing that He will keep you.

With these two in place, you and I are rightly positioned to receive help at the moment we don’t think we can continue anymore. As we walk by the faith in this truth, we will see His power work in us. Phil. 2:13,
“for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure”
May this be your reality and experience this season in Jesus name. And as you commit yourself into His hands, let every struggle cease. And may you find His ability to stay above every falling that’s coming upon men in the earth this season, in Jesus mighty name, amen.
