Behold the excellency of God’s power, the power of His saving grace. It is the greatest power that ever crossed Earth’s surface, the very force that can turn a nobody, a sinner of sinners into the best of saints…

[26] For you see your calling, brethren, that not many wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called.” [29] that no flesh should glory in His presence.” [31] that, as it is written, “He who glories, let him glory in the Lord.”

I Corinthians 1:26, 29, 31

The Parable of the Hidden Treasures of great price in Matthew 13:44 and the way gold stones/gems are found in mud gives us an insight into the possibility that great things can be covered by insignificant cases. That beauty can be wrapped up with ugliness. That strength can be hidden in weakness.

By our opening text, we realize that our Heavenly Father likes to go searching for ugly, weak, abused, abandoned, beaten, insignificant people. He likes to pick up the hopeless and people who are about falling off the edge. He likes to pick people whom the world has written off. Why does He do this? Why does this Almighty God stoop this low?

God does this because He is a Master Craftsman. Who knows His creation like the Creator Himself. Most times, we don’t see how Satan fights to destroy some people. We wonder what is it they have or what makes them a threat that their lives are just so “bad”, but, that “nobody” (according to you) carries something on their inside that the spirit realm has seen. They’ll break limits and end cycles. So what does the enemy do, he sends frustration, rejections, hurt, pains and losses to break these secret giants before they are ever able to enter their glories.

II Corinthians 4:7 ”… that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us.”
You see, there is a place of excellence of power. A place of absolute beauty and restoration and impart. By ourselves, we cannot attain to this height, so, God looks out for that vessel who has tried their best but has been stopped by the walls of rejection, lack, control, fear and other setbacks. Those vessels that no one believes any beauty can come out from, He goes out for them and then He changes them.

He went for the neglected shepherd boy in the bush to make him the mightiest and well loved king that Israel ever had, David. He went for the castaway and illegitimate son, Jethro, to make him the mighty judge of Israel. He went for the chief of sinners and persecutors, Saul, and made him a chief among the chiefest of Apostles. Behold the excellency of God’s power, the power of the salvation package. The greatest power that ever crossed Earth’s surface, the very force that can turn a nobody, a sinner of sinners into the best of saints.

You alone know where you are right now. If you’re unsaved, I point you to the One and only Person who can make your life worth something forever, I repeat, forever: Jesus Christ, the Life. If you are saved and it looks like you’re still at that “nobody” spot, don’t stop walking the path of salvation. You belong to and have come to the Master Craftsman who is able to change stories. You’ve ben rejected, don’t reject yourself. You’ve been forgotten, don’t forget or turn off yourself. You’ve been beat down, don’t beat down yourself. The excellency of power will reveal itself in your case soon.

Out of that misery and hopelessness, joy is about to be revealed. Beauty will manifest, strength will come.
The key is to not lose faith in God. If He can make others, then He can make you. Hold on to Him and keep going. What He says about you is more important and truer than what any other person says or thinks.
Hold on to that.
Your gold is about to be revealed, don’t give up yet!
