DAY 122 OF 365: WALKING THROUGH THE WORD DEVOTIONAL

As God’s ambassador, you have a portion in His inheritance and a rightful claim to it. Your life, finance, health, ministry, relationships are meant to run upon the fuel of Heaven’s sponsorship and not upon human labour.

Title: SPONSORED AMBASSADORS

And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work

II Corinthians 9:8

Then the word of the Lord came to him, saying, “Get away from here and turn eastward, and hide by the Brook Cherith, which flows into the Jordan. And it will be that you shall drink from the brook, and I have commanded the ravens to feed you there.” So he went and did according to the word of the Lord, for he went and stayed by the Brook Cherith, which flows into the Jordan. The ravens brought him bread and meat in the morning, and bread and meat in the evening; and he drank from the brook. And it happened after a while that the brook dried up, because there had been no rain in the land. Then the word of the Lord came to him, saying, “Arise, go to Zarephath, which belongs to Sidon, and dwell there. See, I have commanded a widow there to provide for you.

I Kings 17:2-9

I have heard it being spoken that, “If/When God sends you to Nineveh, He’ll provide your fare, but, if/when you send yourself elsewhere, you’ll pay the fare”. This is a true explanation of how God’s faithfulness can be held even in the midst of “shaky” convictions. I’m sure we are convinced that God loves us and that God has placed us upon the earth for a reason, to be His ambassadors representing His Kingdom here to draw men to Him. No doubt about this at all.

Yet, one of the places we find ourselves asking questions the most is the place of needs that come with our obedience to Him. He asks you to go somewhere, yet you have no shiny dime with you. He asks you to feed men, yet you have no food at home. You’re asked to feed the crowd yet you even borrow to feed yourself and your family. At such a time, how do you prove that God sponsors His projects in your life?

My mentor has been used by God to teach me that God causes us to receive instructions and assignments for things that, ordinarily, we don’t see our ability to do them. Why does He do this? So that we can prove our obedience to Him and also we can depend on His integrity to bring His word to pass for us.

We have a God who doesn’t fail. You have to just take it or leave it there. God ALWAYS never fails. If He says something, go with it, it will happen. Whatever it is that He does, they are true and stands forever. That’s the kind of God He is. He is sure, Self-certain – 2Cor. 1:20, PS. 33:9

When you come to this point where it seems like God gave you direction, has called you to be this or that, even as a Christian, and it seems like what you need for life and godliness is lacking, remember to lay the needs that are before you into His hands. Peter says to cast our cares upon Him – 1Peter 4:7. You need not worry over what you have or don’t have. Let God worry about providing while you worry about doing the task.

Sometimes, all you need is not the resources but the step. God is looking for people who will go according to His words like Elijah, not knowing how it will happen but trusting the One who sent them to prepare the transport, the food, the lodge, the contact for them. Why, He is the Creator of all the earth.

Beloved, you are not alone in this earth. As God’s ambassador, you have a portion in His inheritance and a rightful claim to it. Your life, finance, health, ministry, relationships are meant to run upon the fuel of Heaven’s sponsorship and not upon human labour.

So, you can boldly thank God right away for the provision that’s coming to you today for today’s achievements as His representative and for those provisions awaiting you tomorrow for tomorrow’s achievements. This is how the child of God should think. This devotional you so gladly look forward to everyday is sponsored by grace not my pocket or connections. I discovered and began to say, “If You appointed me to do this job, you have to provide for it beyond what I am used to getting. “ So even when I can’t afford what I need for myself, I just wait to do what God asks without it and help just comes before, during or after.

God is faithful. Too faithful to fail.
Thank Him right away. And tell Him that from today you will quit worrying about what you need and say, Father, I trust you to meet all my needs. So everything I need for life, godliness and ministry are coming to me now. They’ll be here when I need them, in Jesus name, amen. I focus on my assignment. I do it. I have the strength in the name of Jesus. As I go in obedience, all I need comes, in Jesus name, amen.

Hallelujah
