DAY 126 OF 365: WALKING THROUGH THE WORD DEVOTIONAL

Religion even tells you to clean up before coming in, but Jesus says come in and be cleaned up…

Title: HE BECKONS

And the Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let him who hears say, “Come!” And let him who thirsts come. Whoever desires, let him take the water of life freely

Revelation 22:17

I know a lot of people peddle different messages about God and what He says. As good as our intentions and aims may be, we must never forget that we see God only through the face of our Lord Jesus. The scriptures prove that – John 1:18. Also, from God’s word, we can see the life of Jesus recorded and how He walked. This way He showed us the heart of the Father for all men.

God is not looking for who to lose but who to gain. Including this you, even at your worst. He wants you still. You, rising today and falling tomorrow, unable to main stability and afraid for your soul, He wants you as well because only He can make you better. Whatever state you fit into, God not only wants you, through the Son Jesus, He beckons for all men to come. – 1Tim. 2:4, Matt. 11:28

Everyone is going to judge you at your worst. Especially those you thought loved you. Everyone wants to identify with perfection forgetting their own state. Religion even tells you to clean up before coming in, forgetting that it’s the sick that needs a doctor, not the well. And our faith is supposed to be a cure. Jesus said that God has entrusted all judgement to Him and no longer judges anyone. Therefore, if Jesus calls to and accepts us, then God does too. We can’t do much outside Him. By the Blood of Christ’s Cross, the Bible says, He (Jesus) has removed the barrier between us and the Father – Col. 2:13-15, John 5:22.

We have people who suffer under the weight of their guilt, pain, grief and sorrows. These things have made them slaves even where God has given them freedom. Jesus is the image of God’s forgiveness, love and kindness. He is God’s scepter of acceptance stretched out to you. Your faith in the cleansing Blood of Jesus for you on Calvary will help you find true freedom. This faith will make you seek Him even in your weakest moment and run towards Him in your basest hour. In Him we are whole. In Him, we are accepted. In Him, there won’t be a casting away but entrance only. (Colossians 1:12-15, John 8:36, Hebrews 4:16, John 6:37)

What is that thing that you have done that the enemy is echoing again and again in your heart? Our Heavenly Father is merciful. You only have to arise from where you are right now like the Prodigal Son and take a hold of His mercies available to you. Don’t doubt the power of the Blood of Jesus Christ. It can cleanse anything. It can purify any stain. It can wash away any sin and heal you. It can mend your broken heart and make you whole again. You are His sheep and He is your Shepherd. And He isn’t ready to leave you alone. No, not yet.

Whatever it is, your Shepherd beckons on you to come. Don’t hold back any more. Reach out and take His hands and be restored. The love, forgiveness and fresh start which you seek, they are all in His presence – call out to Him!

He beckons, answer Him.
