DAY 86 OF 365: WALKING THROUGH THE WORD DEVOTIONAL

whatever it is you know today, it cannot be compared to what you’re yet to know. To think you’ve known all there is to know is to prove that you don’t know anything at all

Title: THE KNOWLEDGE THAT HAS EFFECT

but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory both now and forever. Amen

A choice is not yet a choice until it is followed through. It goes beyond just making good decisions, but in being able to follow them on through

Titles: CHOICES: THEY ARE ACTIVE, NOT PASSIVE

For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.”

What do you know? You see, knowing is a process, and knowledge is the product. What we know affects what we possess…

Title: IS YOUR KNOWLEDGE AN EFFECTIVE ONE?

And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free

DAY 4 OF 365: WALKING THROUGH THE WORD DEVOTIONAL

I stand in the place of balance to say that God brings people into His family not like a poonzi scheme nor as a lottery won, but as a Father who gives birth to His very own offspring. These ‘new’ family members carry His Divine gene now. They become ‘sons of God’, supernatural residing in the natural. Do you have a glimpse at it now…

Title: IN THIS FAMILY

Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him. By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments. For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous. For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.

1 John 5:1-4

Love is who God is. Love is the source of all God does. Even God’s judgement emanates from His heart of love. Everyday, the child of God is compelled by a force in His heart towards God and towards all that is good.

DESTINY

Notes are always a time to express myself and it is good to see it that way. Be blessed and learn from this expression whose aim is to teach you.
I remember that very good evening, I and a couple of close friends, Gift, Faith, Passion, knowledge, Friendship, Reality, Wisdom, and others had gathered together at our little home down Regular lane.

DO I KNOW YOU? DO I FEEL YOU?

The pains. Keeping the faith up. Coping/overcoming the pains. Dealing with the cause-in hatred or in love.

[NLT] Hebrews 2:18 Since he himself has gone through suffering and testing, he is able to help us when we are being tested.

I may not know everything or feel everything, or have I felt everything, that you are going through, or have been through.

But here is what I know:
I know what it means to lose a parent at an early age.
I know what it means to be raised by a widowed mum that wasn’t always there.
I know what it means to live apart from your immediate family and most loved ones.
I know what it means to hunger and thirst.
I know what it means to lack.
I know what it means to leave school and be delayed cause of fees.
I know what it means to lose people you love most to wicked forces.
I know what it means to lose a loved one because of the bad company they kept.
I know what it means to lose something or someone you’ve been protecting and guiding for a long time.
I know and I feel…

But I also know what it means to be loved by those you have no ties with.
I know what it means to have everything you need whenever you really needed it.
I know what it means to be in Christ Jesus in God and to have the company of the Spirit always. These three in one has been the reason I am who I am today.
I love those who have hurt me and I pray one day that they come to find this light as I have now.
I have love for those who took my loved ones away from me.
I don’t intend to take vengeance. I forgive them like God forgave me.
I have learnt to trust God with my all and He has never disappointed me. Even when I thought that He actually did, it was working out for something much more glorious for me.

Like I said earlier, I may not know everything.
But I know this for sure That God gives comfort to His own.
He knows how to deliver those who trust Him.
He is never late for those who are faithful.
And He is always available to those who diligently seek Him.

I may not feel what you’re feeling or have felt, but I know someone who does.
He is touched by the feelings of our infirmities.
He promise to never leave nor forsake.
He promise to forgive the repentant.
He promise to heal
He promise to mend
He promise to deliver
He promises and He performs
He doesn’t know failure; for there is no failure with Him.
Hang on in there. It wont take too long and your change will come. And when it does, it will be like a dream because it will beat your highest expectation.

I don’t know it all…
But I want you to know this
YOU’RE NEVER ALONE.
YOU’RE NOT THE FIRST.
Your destiny lies ahead.
Keep your head up.
Do not let your background to put your back on the ground.
Do not let where you are now to hinder you from getting to where God has designed for you to be.
Stay strong and you’ll come out with wings.
Hold the light and cling on Him.
You’re meant for great things….
Nomatter what you’re going through now, if you stay and keep the faith as you move on, you will reach

Embrace the comfort only God can give.
Walk in the light only found in Him.
Put your treasure which is safe in Him.
Never give up or give in.
Never allow the circumstances you find yourself in to change you into the monster you hate the most.
Allow the faith and testimony of the saints and those who once walked this path to encourage and keep you going.

There is light at the end of the tunnel. Don’t look down or back yet.
Keep going, praying, trusting, and believing this:

You’re loved.

THE DIMENSIONS OF FELLOWSHIP. Part 3

The writings of James George

The second dimension we will look at is
THE FELLOWSHIP OF LOVE: This fellowship centers the fellowship of sharing, service, encouragement, etc. It is the essense of our living as sons and daughters of God. This (love) is our identity (John 13:35).

The feloowship of love is and will remain the life of our brotherhood; and Giving is the order or expression of it. This fellowship involves sharing God’s word with others, forgiving the sins of others, interceeding for others, mutuality and involvement in the life and situations of others. This fellowship finds fulfillment in making the lives of others much better.

The fellowship of love puts self behind; it is selfless and born(made possible) only when the light has penetrated and is now the base of our living. (Gal. 6:2, Phil. 6, 1st John 4:8, 1:3, 6, James 4:3).

And then we have
THE FELLOWSHIP OF SUFFERING: Please understand in this context that this suffering is not the type the world understands because it is beyond them. Only spiritual can get this because it is a spiritual truth.

This suffering is the crown(fulfillment) of the saint. It is not the state of being in pains or distress caused by uncontrollable events or happenings.
No, this suffering is the constant exercise or testing of our faith, obedience, and passion as believers; this gives us fulfillment and a great sense of spirituality. This was the kind of fellowship the Apostles and early believers were bathed in.
This dimension is expressed when the saint has been possessed by his love for Christ. It is what Christ lived through here on earth. It is the life of passion where a man finds joy in sacrifice because he is aware of its blessing on others and on his future. This fellowship is a fellowship of choice. A paradox of life which the ordinary man never fathom or accept.

“As sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing all things.” -2nd Cor. 6:10.

The world can never understand this, and sadly, neither can some believers. This deep dimension is not one we can run from; Christ paid for it and we must walk in it. This is where we can fulfill our destiny, no where else. (Matt. 19:16-29).

The fellowship of suffering is not the life of poverty, or of lack or sickness, etc. No, it is the call of strong faith, great wealth and success, eternal rewards, life and power, both here and in eternity.

Those that will understand this most are those believers in anti-christian environments who experience daily persecutions. It has become their glory to give their lives for something so precious to them:Christ. This is who they live for, live in and is ready to lose their lives for. (Phil. 3:10, 1st Cor. 4:9-16).

Build up yourself in these fellowship with God. Seek Him through the Holy Ghost. Let Him bring you into deep intimacy with Himself and you’ll never be the same again. You will laugh at the face of challenges because you will be reigning over from the seat of Christ’s victory. (Job 5:6-8, Rom. 8:37)

Hallelujah!
