Title: I AM YOUR GOD; I AM WITH YOU
Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’Isaiah 41:10
Many of us are not familiar with this truth. However, today I wish to let you know this: GOD IS WITH YOU.
At such crucial time of life when our battles are at their fiercest; when each day comes with its own tears and joys, victories or defeats; when you’re begged the question by even your own self, “Where is your God in all this? Where are the Words He has spoken over you? Let them speak now and be brought to pass for us to see and prove”.
At such a time when although you believe all that’s been written, it seems there isn’t any likeness between what you believe and what surrounds you. It is easy to give up fighting when there is neither strength nor reason to keep fighting. At such a moment, God is assuring you that He is for you not against you.
In the face of fear, He assures you of His companionship. Do you know the relief of having God the Father WITH you? It means that when you walk, you will never walk alone again. It means He is not on the enemy’s side nor siding with them to bring you down. Things may look tough, but God is on your side. It seems like it is God that is crushing you and taking you through a certain painful process; I want you to know that He isn’t against you but for you still. He says I AM WITH YOU. FEAR NOT!
Then He adds, “…don’t be dismayed because I am your God…” Why should a man be afraid when the Great I AM is his God? Why should I become disorganized when God, the Almighty, is my worship, my adoration, and my devotion?
When we go through hard days, let us remember where we can find hope. One technology of the enemy that sponsors dryness and creates a leakage in the lives of believers, thereby causing dissatisfaction with life, is the wild eagerness to get relief from the issues of life which makes them turn to temporary elements that do not truly satisfy. These things pose as options and offer a way of escape that does not glorify God nor keep us safe. From such, dear child of God, flee!
Rather, let us run to the place where hope can be inspired, the word of God. It is the place where we can plugin and find strength, ideas, fresh zeal, and confidence to face the future every day. In the world, you’ll never find true hope unless in God.
How do we stand where God’s healing and help can meet us?
Faith is key. This key will help me make sure of two things:
- I will make sure that the Lord remains my God. That is, I haven’t replaced Him with other stuff as the object of my devotion, love and worship. If He is my God, then my lifestyle will be one of complete devotion to Him and to no one else.
- I will make sure He still has my undivided dependence and trust even when what I desire isn’t coming forth. I still make do with the fact that He who promised is able also to perform and give me peace.
These two faith keys will settle your feet where healing will meet you and where help will find you. Stay with the promise you have received, examine the position of your faith, and then wait for the word to come to pass as it was spoken. The Word of God is our hope and we have a God who is FOR US.
