If you feel like that step is a step into darkness, then let me remind you that, He is the Light that shines in the dark (John 1:4-5).

”And a man found him wandering in the fields; the man asked him, “What are you seeking?”

Genesis 37:15 (NRSV)

Every day, our roots propend downward in the familiar. It gets more comfortable working in this familiar environment. But what happens when our roots are pulled up and we are moved? It is never comfortable. Are you dealing with the pressure of a new home, a new school, a new relationship, a new job, a new promotion? Does it seem like though you’re in a crowded room, yet you’re so alone? Are you beginning to feel like you made a mistake making that move? Do you feel this isn’t progress but rather, it’s a backward trend?

The enemy throws fears at us and suggestions that make our changes seem like a mistake. He wants you to think God isn’t being fair to you and is punishing you for something you did in your yesterday. He likes to scare us with the unknown together with all the opportunities associated with it, just so that we can remain in the familiar and never make progress, but, our God wants us to explore and experience great adventures in life. New environments can mean new opportunities for us. New environments can mean fresh starts, new and better relationships, new ideas, new experiences, etc.

It is true, though, that a new environment isn’t an easy thing to adjust to, but, would you rather remain in your comfort zone and not grow or will you readjust and uncover the bag of gold awaiting you? If you feel like that step is a step into darkness, then let me remind you that, He is the Light that shines in the dark (John 1:4-5). Do you feel like where God is taking you to in life is a dead end? Throw away the fear and the worry. Cast away uncertainty. The Way-Maker is on your side. You are travelling with the One who makes ways in the wilderness and rivers in deserts places – Isaiah 43:19.

The Lord has the ability to go ahead of you. He promises this in His Word. He can plant your man in that organization. He can plant your man in that school. He can plant your helper anywhere He knows you will be needing them there, even in the fire. Hope you remember the Hebrew boys? – Daniel 3:24-25.

He wants you to have this faith and confidence in His ability to do this. The earth belongs to the Lord who is also your Father, don’t you think He can plant help for you as you find your way through life’s journey? – Take a hold of His promise and run with it. You shall not be stranded because His agents are awaiting to do His purpose and aid you in life this season, in Jesus name, amen –Psalms 103:20-21.
